Women Empowerment Education and Peace Building Initiative (WEPBI) has officially launched the Gra\u00e7a Machel Trust\u2019s Pan-African Adolescent Girls Movement (PAGM)<\/strong> in Nigeria, with funding support from the Gra\u00e7a Machel Trust<\/strong>. With this launch, Nigeria becomes the 10th African country<\/strong> to roll out this transformative initiative aimed at strengthening adolescent girl-led leadership across the continent.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ahead of the national launch, a group of carefully selected young facilitators<\/strong> participated in a rigorous three-day training based on Module One of the PAGM curriculum<\/strong>. The training equipped them with the skills and knowledge needed to mentor and guide their peers confidently and effectively.<\/span><\/p>\n

With this strengthened capacity<\/strong>, the trained facilitators successfully delivered the first round of sessions to the inaugural cohort of 100 adolescent girls, known as the Young Eagles<\/strong>. Through interactive activities and discussions, the girls explored themes such as leadership, identity, confidence building, rights awareness, and the vision of the Pan-African Adolescent Girls Movement.<\/span><\/p>\n

The launch event further deepened understanding of the movement\u2019s objectives, expectations, and long-term impact, reinforcing WEPBI\u2019s commitment to creating safe spaces, amplifying girls\u2019 voices, and nurturing a new generation of empowered young leaders.<\/span><\/p>\n
