The Nigerian Army Officers\u2019 Wives Association (NAOWA) 82 Division Chapter, in partnership with the Women Empowerment Education and Peace Building Initiative (WEPBI), commemorated International Women\u2019s Day 2024 with an impactful event held at the 82 Division Headquarters, Enugu, on March 14, 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n

The event was graced by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 82 Division, Major General Oluyemi Thomas Olatoye, who delivered a thought-provoking speech on the state of women\u2019s rights globally. He emphasized the critical role of education in empowering women and highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship and financial support for women\u2019s economic growth. He concluded by advocating that women should not only be celebrated in March but every day of the year.<\/span><\/p>\n
