{"id":2266,"date":"2023-09-19T14:12:56","date_gmt":"2023-09-19T13:12:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wepbi.com\/en\/?p=2266"},"modified":"2023-09-19T14:13:03","modified_gmt":"2023-09-19T13:13:03","slug":"chioma-nnadi-of-nigerian-descent-becomes-first-black-woman-to-lead-british-vogue","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wepbi.com\/en\/chioma-nnadi-of-nigerian-descent-becomes-first-black-woman-to-lead-british-vogue\/","title":{"rendered":"Chioma Nnadi of Nigerian Descent becomes First Black Woman to Lead British Vogue."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div id=\"section-gca3583\" class=\"wp-block-gutentor-e6 section-gca3583 gutentor-element gutentor-element-image\"><div class=\"gutentor-element-image-box\"><div class=\"gutentor-image-thumb\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"normal-image\" src=\"https:\/\/wepbi.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/chioma-nnadi-1.jpg\"\/><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Chioma Nnadi<strong> <\/strong>the fashion journalist, has been named as the new head of editorial content at British Vogue.<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 44-year-old journalist of Nigerian and Swiss-German descent is expected to take over from Edward Enninful, the editor-in-chief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Enninful, who enjoyed a six-year tenure as both the prestigious fashion magazine\u2019s first male and first black editor, announced his resignation in June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is understood that Nnadi will be known as head of editorial content, rather than editor-in-chief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nnadi\u2019s appointment also makes her the first black female head of the industry-leading fashion magazine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a Monday instagram post, the London-born journalist said she is \u201chonored and excited to be coming home\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019m so thrilled to announce that I\u2019m the new head of editorial content for @britishvogue,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHuge thanks to Anna Wintour, @edward enninful and Roger Lynch for giving me this opportunity. \u00a0truly honored and so excited to be coming home.
