{"id":1846,"date":"2023-03-07T12:01:37","date_gmt":"2023-03-07T11:01:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wepbi.com\/en\/?p=1846"},"modified":"2023-03-07T12:01:51","modified_gmt":"2023-03-07T11:01:51","slug":"the-board-of-premium-pension-limited-has-announced-the-appointment-of-ms-bennedikter-molokwu-as-an-independent-director","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wepbi.com\/en\/the-board-of-premium-pension-limited-has-announced-the-appointment-of-ms-bennedikter-molokwu-as-an-independent-director\/","title":{"rendered":"<strong>The Board of Premium Pension Limited has Announced the Appointment of Ms Bennedikter Molokwu as an Independent Director.<\/strong>"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div id=\"section-g7d2bea\" class=\"wp-block-gutentor-e6 section-g7d2bea gutentor-element gutentor-element-image\"><div class=\"gutentor-element-image-box\"><div class=\"gutentor-image-thumb\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"normal-image\" src=\"https:\/\/wepbi.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/BENEDIKTER-1.jpg\"\/><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The Board of Premium Pension Limited says it has appointed Ms Bennedikter Molokwu as an independent director.<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This was revealed in a statement signed by spokesperson of the company,&nbsp; Aliyu Mohammed, on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said the appointment was part of the company\u2019s strategic effort aimed at providing excellent services and repositioning the company to a greater height.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The statement said Ms Molokwu \u201csucceeded the former Independent Director, Prof. Nat Ofo, who retired from the board recently after completing his tenure.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A law graduate of the University of Nigeria, Molokwu was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1976 and went on to receive a masters\u2019 degree in International and Comparative Law (Cum Laude) from Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Belgium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new director is&nbsp;a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, International Federation of Women Lawyers, Chartered Institute of Bankers, and is a certified balanced scorecard professional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The statement said, \u201cMolokwu is a distinguished fellow of the Institute of Directors and served as the president, Institute of Directors of Nigeria where she is a council member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs a seasoned corporate governance practitioner, she has contributed immensely to the institutionalisation of corporate governance in both public and private sector boards on which she served.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTherefore, her appointment as an independent director on the board of Premium Pension Limited is expected to deepen the already existing sound corporate governance culture of the company.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Women have continuously strived through put in a strong image for themselves through the past decade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to <em>Nancy Pelosi<\/em>, <em>\u201cWomen are leaders everywhere you look\u2014from the CEO who runs a Fortune 500 company to the housewife who raises her children and heads her household.
