The PDP gubernatorial candidate in Adamama, Gov. Ahmadu Fintiri, has presented, a female, Prof. Kaletapwa Farauta, as his running mate for the 2023 governorship election on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This he said at the unveiling ceremony in Yola on Wednesday, saying that Farauta, who is currently the Vice-Chancellor of the Adamawa University, Mubi, was selected based on some qualities ranging from honesty, integrity, transparency and hard work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fintiri said that Farauta is expected to discharge her responsibilities with due diligence and fear of the Almighty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHer choice was a result of painstaking and strategic calculations especially the need to further carry the women along by being gender sensitive,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In her remarks, Farauta, who described her selection as an act of God, thanked Fintiri and the PDP for finding her worthy of the position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She assured of serving with loyalty, commitment, dedication and fear of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe will work assiduously to ensure victory for the party in all future elections,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
