{"id":1196,"date":"2022-07-18T09:34:35","date_gmt":"2022-07-18T08:34:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wepbi.com\/en\/?p=1196"},"modified":"2022-07-18T09:34:39","modified_gmt":"2022-07-18T08:34:39","slug":"insecurity-four-travelers-abducted-by-gunmen-in-anambra","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wepbi.com\/en\/insecurity-four-travelers-abducted-by-gunmen-in-anambra\/","title":{"rendered":"Insecurity-Four Travelers Abducted by Gunmen in Anambra"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Four travelers on Sunday were abducted by suspected gunmen in Anambra State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The suspects set their Hilux vehicle ablaze and ran away with a SUV belonging to their victims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;This took place at about 3pm on Sunday at Nise market in Awka South local government area, few kilometers away from the Governor\u2019s lodge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was gathered the suspects stopped at the area and robbed some persons before making escaping with the car<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The operation by the hoodlums, according to a source, lasted for about 30mins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Anambra Police Relations Officer, Ikenga Tochukwu, when contacted confirmed the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He said the suspects were being trailed by security operatives, who had been deployed by Commissioner of Police, Echeng Echeng.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tochukwu said security operatives had cordoned off the area to protect the residents, while further investigation continued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe\u2019ve not got the details of the incident in full, but our men have been deployed to the area.\u201d He said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Four travelers on Sunday were abducted by suspected gunmen in Anambra State.
