WOMEN INCLUSION IN LEADERSHIP; WEPBI HOSTS SIXTEEN (16) TRADITIONAL RULERS IN ENUGU STATE

As a part of the effort to strengthen the advocacy for proper inclusion of women in the leadership and decision-making process in the society, Women Empowerment Education and Peace Building Initiative (WEPBI) a nongovernmental and nonprofit organization with the focus on the wellbeing of women and girls has set to host some traditional rulers in Enugu state.

This meeting with the traditional rulers is in continuation of an earlier hosted discussion where the organization tabled their mission requesting for women inclusion in the traditional cabinet of Igwe in council.

The discussion which lead to the successful installation of some women in the cabinets in some communities has called for a follow up to make sure other council that has not done that will consider it as a way to strengthen the effectiveness of leadership of our society.

The gathering will also feature a discussion on the challenges and the way forward to the inclusion of women in leadership.

The meeting will hold tomorrow, the 27th of May 2022 at Predia Hotel and suites, No.3 pocket layout, by Bisalla road, Enugu State.
