WEPBI Brings Relief and Joy to Ugba-Edogori Community in Enugu State

As part of its commitment to supporting vulnerable communities, the Women Empowerment Education and Peace Building Initiative (WEPBI) visited Ugba-Edogori, a rural community in Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu State, to distribute relief items to women and children.

The outreach, held on May 29, 2025, focused on sharing clothes, shoes, children’s wear, and other essential items with families in need. The visit is one of WEPBI’s grassroots efforts aimed at improving the living conditions of rural women and children, especially in communities where resources are scarce.

Residents of Ugba-Edogori welcomed the WEPBI team with warmth and appreciation, as the donated items brought smiles and comfort to many.

“We came here not just to give out items, but to show love, restore hope, and remind the women and children of Ugba-Edogori that they matter. They are not forgotten,” said Ijeoma Joy Oguadimma, Executive Director of WEPBI.
“WEPBI is committed to reaching the grassroots, where the need is often greatest and voices are least heard. Today’s outreach is one more step toward that commitment.”

WEPBI also expressed gratitude to all individuals and families who donated clothes, shoes, and other useful items in support of this initiative. Their contributions made it possible to extend help to those in need.

“We are sincerely thankful to everyone who gave. Your kindness helped touch lives in meaningful ways,” Oguadimma added.

The organization acknowledged the efforts of its team and volunteers whose dedication ensured the smooth execution of the visit.

WEPBI continues to champion rural inclusion through its programs on women’s empowerment, peacebuilding, and community development.
