Vigilante Shot  Dead by His Stepson, While Testing  The Efficacy Of His Charm In Adamawa

  A member of vigilante group in Jada Local Government Area, Adamawa state identified as Yusuf, has lost his life when his stepson   Suugbomsumen Adamu fired a gunshot at him, while testing gun charms’ efficacy at their home on Sunday November 6.

Yusuf, who was said to be drinking a gin known whiskey, sighted the accused on his way back home on that fateful day when he called him and turned his dame gun on himself and asked him to fire it. The deceased who allegedly acted under the influence of alcohol was said to have gotten himself fortified with   protective charms, but the charms unfortunately for him failed  completely,  on the day the sad incidence happened  and which led to the loss of his life. Adamu on his own part,   claimed his stepfather turned the loaded dame gun on himself by putting it on his stomach and asked him to hold it and shoot.

The suspect who insisted that he acted in accordance to his stepfather’s command, said he pulled the trigger of the gun which penetrated the body the victim and got him fatally wounded. The deceased was rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed dead.

 The spokesperson of the police command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, who confirmed the incidence, said that investigations   on the  case has commenced and the culprit will be charged to court.
