A participant in a program ‘Mr. Protocol’ on Webpi media, Miss Ezike Success has identified pre-determined gender roles as one of the major factors that hinder women’s participation in Nigerian politics.
Speaking on the program to render the question of why women are yet to be visible in the present race for the presidential seat of the country, Miss Ezike said that women have been for long given a particular role of cooking and handling other house chores.
She also pointed out that lack of funds, tradition, and corruption in the system has also contributed immensely to the menace.
Going further, Miss Success advised that the political system of the country should be restructured to fix a conducive environment for women to participate.
