An explosion that has destroyed goods worth millions of naira occurred on Tuesday, 8 November, at the popular drug (Ọgbọ Ọgwụ) market in Onitsha, Anambra State, the incidence occurred at about 12:30pm
About five persons were reportedly killed by the explosion, while many others sustained various degrees of injury during the fire incidence.
The cause of the explosion, which affected a section of the market was said to be caused by a gaseous substance in the chemical section of the market. However some fire fighters from the Federal Fire Service attached to Anambra state, joined hands together to put out the fire
