He was said to have been accused of theft by his brother in April 2022.
It was learnt that the accusation traumatised him as he kept complaining and denying the accusation leveled against him.
According to an eyewitness, an empty container of insecticide was found on the ground at the scene, suggesting that he took the deadly poison before coiling the suicidal rope around his neck and releasing himself finally to death. Residents found his body dangling from a tree branch in the bush in Girei.
The state’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, confirmed the incident adding that the officials from relevant departments of the Police Command were investigating the matter.
