As part of the commencement of the Renewed Women’s Voice and Leadership Nigeria (RWVL-N) Project, WEPBI participated in the inception meeting convened by ActionAid Nigeria in Abuja. The meeting marked a significant milestone, bringing together selected partner organizations to initiate a collaborative process aimed at strengthening women’s rights movements and advancing gender equality across Nigeria.

The inception meeting provided a strategic platform for partners to collectively define project priorities, align on shared goals, and establish a clear framework for implementation. Through interactive sessions and dialogue, participating organizations explored key focus areas, identified opportunities for synergy, and reinforced their commitment to promoting women’s political participation, leadership, and economic empowerment.

WEPBI’s participation underscores its continued dedication to fostering inclusive governance, amplifying the voices of women and girls, and driving sustainable change within communities. By engaging in this collaborative process, WEPBI is well-positioned to contribute to the development of impactful strategies that will strengthen institutional capacity and expand opportunities for women across diverse sectors.

The RWVL-N Project is fully funded by Global Affairs Canada (GAC), reflecting a strong commitment to supporting women’s rights organizations and advancing gender equality initiatives in Nigeria. Through this partnership, stakeholders are poised to drive meaningful progress and build a more inclusive and equitable society.
