Dr. Adeyemo assumed the role of Interim Chief Executive two years ago, previously serving as the Medical Director since 2012.
Throughout her tenure as Interim Chief Executive, Dr. Adeyemo guided the trust through the challenges posed by the pandemic, spearheaded transformative projects to enhance patient care, and earned the prestigious accolade of HSJ (Health Service Journal) NHS Trust of the Year.
Dr. Adeyemo began her medical career in Nigeria, graduating from the University of Lagos. Joining the NHS in 1997, she has dedicated the majority of her career to North Staffordshire. As a dual-qualified old age and adult psychiatrist, she became a consultant of old age psychiatry in 2007 at Combined Healthcare. Dr. Adeyemo also serves as an NHS Chief Executive representative on the Mental Health Network Board at the NHS Confederation.”
