Woman a Nation Builder

The need for women to rise up to the challenges of nation-building has once again been brought to the fore.

The Executive director of Women Empowerment Education and Peace building Initiative (WEPBI) Oguadimma Ijeoma Joy, in a live television program today,  at the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) Enugu Network Centre, captioned ‘Woman a Nation Builder’ explained that there is every need to put to an end to the obvious marginalization of women especially in leadership and decision making spaces.

She stressed the need for capacity building for women and mentorship, adding that women, over time have proven to be very efficient in leadership and decision making processes.

Oguadimma maintained that one of the reasons that have contributed to  the low representation of women in decision making process is lack of support, which she said will soon be a thing of the past having in mind that women are now making serious effort towards ensuring they get the much needed representation.

She ended by saying that as women we should believe in ourselves that we can do it.
