In commemoration of the 16days of activism WEPBI with sponsorship from Foundation for partnership Initiatives in The Niger Delta (PIND) on 9th December,2022 at Ogbenneisii Community Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government Area, Imo State, held a one-day Capacity building/awareness sensitization on Femicide and Gender Based Violence (GBV), for the participants to eliminate bad norms and increase their confidence to speak out when their rights are violated and to ensure that culprits won’t go unpunished.
The event which was themed: UNITED EFFORT TOWARDS ENDING FEMICIDE IN THE NIGER DELTA, Also sensitized the participants on the need for a united front towards eliminating gender based violence completely from the society especially in the rural communities where such practices are still predominant.
Let’s work together to reduce Femicide and Gender Based Violence in our society in all it’s forms.
